Human Cloning

The issue I have chosen for this project is stem cell research and human cloning. I do not support this issue in any way. Each human life is unique and sacred unto itself. That human life becomes a human life at the second the sperm meets the egg. Cloning or in laymen's terms making a photocopy of an individual is wrong. We were all created different for a reason. If human cloning were even allowed by law, law of ethics would not allow it. You cannot take a person and strip them of their individuality by cloning them. I do not support stem cell research either. Creating life just to manipulate it into something else is wrong. We do not have the right to play God. However, human cloning technology is expected to result in several miraculous medical breakthroughs. We may be able to cure cancer if cloning leads to a better understanding of cell differentiation. Theories exist about how cloning may lead to a cure for heart attacks, a revolution in cosmetic surgery, organs for organ transplantation, and predictions abound about how cloning technology will save thousands of lives. Embryonic stem cells can be grown to produce organs or tissues to repair or replace damaged ones. Skin for burn victims, brain cells for the brain damaged, spinal cord cells for quadriplegics and paraplegics, hearts, lungs, livers, and kidneys could be produced. By combining this technology with human cloning technology it may be possible to produce needed tissue for suffering people that will be free of rejection by their immune systems. Conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, heart failure, degenerative joint disease, and other problems may be made curable if human cloning and its technology are not banned. Although there are these many advantages of cloning and stem cell research I still do not condone it. There are other ways. When a baby is born you can ask the
