Antigone is more of a success because she was strong minded and ended up getting what she wanted. Creon basically traps Antigone alive in a tomb, however she was going to be released when a prophet tells him that he will regret it. If you think about it, had Creon given Polyneices the proper burial that he deserved in the beginning, none of this would have happened. Her brother would have been buried properly, however he was chewed apart by dogs, so he was bathed in holy water and cremated. So she buries him in the desert, Creon gets word of this and Antigone is captured. After this Eurydice – Creon’s wife – kills herself by slitting her throat. The chorus says that this all stemmed from what Antigone had done. Creon ends up losing all that he had in the end of the play, his son Haemon ends up killing himself when he sees that Antigone is dead. However, that was against what the king decided. However, he was too stubborn, which was one of his tragic flaws. Creon would still be king, and he would still have his son and wife alive with him.
