Arab-Israeli Conflict
The Arab-Israeli conflict concerns two unlike nations vying and claiming the same land. Both sides have made valid religious, historical, legal, and national claims towards the land, yet the two nations still live in turmoil. Both the Arabs and the Israelis believe that the city of Jerusalem is their "holy land" and that they should have full reign over it. The Palestinians show great nationalism, for they have no country to call
The Israelis also demonstrate nationalism for they are at war with the Palestinians. Since this is the case, they have united to find a way to retrieve their land from the Israelis. The Israelis believe that Israel is their "Promised Land" and that they should be able to dwell in their holy land. As of today, the Israelis dominate in the county of Israel, and the Palestinians that do live there are kept in refugee camps. Furthermore, the borders of Israel are very vague and are not clearly recognized. Both of these nations desire this precious land, and will rest at nothing until they posses it for themselves. The Israeli people are fearful that they might lose their land, so they are exceedingly patriotic towards their country. Each of these nations has the right to have land and an area to call their own. The Palestinians believe that their history and religion should ensure them the land of Israel, but the Israelis also claim that their history and religion should guarantee them the land. Seeing as they are at war right now, many Palestinians may illustrate great nationalism towards their people and ethnicity.
