Macbeth Summary
Act 1 of the play Macbeth we meet almost the whole cast of characters. We meet the Witches, who are very interesting, and it seems as though they will be important during the whole play.They are deliciously evil, and they say a very important line, which will probably be of very importance later in the play which is, "Fair is foul and foul is fair, hover through the fog and filthy air." This is probably the theme statement for the play, because if it is Macbeth's destiny to become king then it would be fair for him to actually kill the king that is in reign now, and become king himself. Macbeth is easily persuaded by the witches, into thinking that he will reign in King Duncan's place. He goes home and tells his wife about the whole situation. His evil wife then tells him to kill Duncan, and thinks of a huge plan to finally kill Duncan. There is a time though where Macbeth actually think of reasons not to kill Duncan, but then he turns back to his evil ways and decides to kill Duncan anyway.
