The prospect of hosting the Super Bowl leaves many Houstonians skeptical about whether it is a good thing for the city or not. Free concerts will entertain the visitors every night and performers will be playing on four stages representing Country, Tejano, South American, Funk, and Rock musical styles. Most of the bars and restaurants will organize Super Bowl-themed parties with huge plasma displays enhancing the experience. The Super Bowl weekend will be the biggest party in Houston's recent history. Furthermore, hosting the Super Bowl is a great showcase for the city. Thousands of tourists will visit the city including many celebrities who may have never been to Houston. An estimated 90 million people will be watching the TV coverage of the event live from the beautiful Reliant Stadium, which itself is an engineering marvel with its retractable roof. Pictures of the renewed downtown of Houston will reach millions through web sites and magazines. Putting up a great show is the best way to show the nation how beautiful this city really is.
