Industrial Revolution

             The Industrial Revolution (IR) was a positive revolution. Economically, there was a mass production of food, which allowed the lower class people to stay healthier. Socially, new jobs came allowing the middle classed people to be considered equal. Politically, the made child labor laws to lower child abuse.
             Economically, there were many inventions to hit the market during this time period. Many industries grew at this time. When the industries grew, there were workers to work in them. The life expectancy of the workers was now higher because the factories produced much more food. In transportation, there were now the railroads that extended all across the United States. There were also the steam engines that would go inside mines for a much cheaper price. Britain also made the steamboat to cut costs of transporting materials. Britain had to improve the quality of roads so they did. Many of the advances happened in the crop industry.
             Socially, when industrialization came the population of the cities skyrocketed. The children of the cities had to work long hours in the factories; they also were put in small spaces to fix the machinery. Adults could not get a pay to support their family. Britain was not prepared for the inflation so there was over crowding in the cities. They also did not have adequate trash removal systems. The trash would just build up on both sides of the streets. As a result of the IR, middle class people expanded to the people that up to be considered inferior. Wealthy businessmen and landowners were now considered to be equal. When they needed advances in the factory machines, there were contests that the investors came to participate. Over time, Britain made many advances in technology. This improved the standards of living.
