English Speech: Artificial intelligence
             It is the year 2786. The world as we knew it ceases to exist and now lies in chaos and turmoil. It is a world consisting of baron wastelands stripped of all vegetation and life forms. Humanity lies at the brink of extinction. With only a few still alive those who have not submitted their lives to slavery, have chosen a path of exile, hiding from a fate they cannot escape. For it is a world plagued with a superior being –an enemy with an intelligence that surpasses our own. An enemy difficult to comprehend let alone combat. An enemy stemmed from the minds of the very species it wants annihilated- humans. 500 years ago when the first form of intelligence was created who would have contemplated that machines would rise above all else and rule the world for centuries to come.
             Good Morning to my teachers and fellow pupils. My topic of discussion for today is AI or artificial intelligence. The scene I have just envisioned you with might sound like it has come straight out of a science fiction book but how far from the reality is it In the world we live in today thousands of people strive to bring the fictitious world of AI into existence but there may just be a calamitous menace hidden behind the glorious possibilities of artificial intelligence.
             Science fiction has portrayed machines capable of thinking and acting for themselves with a mixture of anticipation and dread, but what was once the realm of fiction has now become the subject of serious debate for researchers and writers. One day man will give life to a new race of intelligent sentient beings powered by artificial means. As time progresses machines will reach a level of intelligence that will challenge or even surpass our own. It is inevitable.
