I would love to go back and live in 1950's. 1950's started the new era in American history. United States was expanding in every field you could think of. Fields like education, art, architecture, technology, fashion, film, books, literature, music and even sports were growing in day-to-day structure. 1950's started many famous careers like Bill Haley's and Jerry Lee Lewis's as Elvis Presley became teens' idol at this time. Overall, the result was growth of national economy and better job opportunities for an ordinary Americans. The end of World War II brought thousands of young servicemen back to America to pick up their lives and start new families in new homes with new jobs. With energy never before experienced, American industry expanded to meet peacetime needs. Americans began buying goods not available during the war, which created corporate expansion and jobs. I think 1950's was the best decade in United States history. During the fifties, American education underwent dramatic and, for some, world shattering changes. And as the televisions became more popular, sports and music industry found growing number of fans. In 1950 there are about 10 million sets in the United States. By 1955, 1 million sets had been sold. As the Fifties progressed the post-war boom included both babies and TV. the Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas and the official policy of "separate but equal" educational opportunities for blacks was made illegal. 1950's was the mark of many famous careers like Elvis Presely. Lucy successfully enrolled in the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Unlike many areas of society in this decade, athletes were a diverse group. Technology industry took advantage of 1950's prosperous era more than any other industry.
