d lazaro

Faith, Love, Time, and Dr. Lazaro by: Gregorio Brillantes Dr, Lazaro is a successful country doctor, yet unfortunately, he feels as though it is his duty to help others, no longer does he have the extreme compassion, which he once had for his job. When Dr. Lazaro was younger, he was a firm believer of God. His desire to help people was most probably the reason as to why he became a doctor. At first he had performed his duty with the utmost determination and intensity. Yet when he witnessed all of the suffering that his patients endured, it became unbearable for him. He felt as if his efforts were useless. He then realizes that his desire to help others makes him feel an unnecessary deep sorrow. It is due to this reason that he becomes emotionally detached from everything, thus not having to experience pain, nor fear it. As the years pass, he becomes more and more bitter and this affects his outlook on life. He thinks that his optimism leads to extreme despair, and there are always adverse outcomes that always seem to crush him. Therefore, Dr. Lazaro has taught himself to expect the worst possible outcome of all situations, thus avoiding disappointment and more agony. This event

He refuses to believe in God, but he considers the story of Adam and Eve as the cause for human suffering. As father and son go for a journey together, Ben unknowingly teaches his father a great lesson. How many times have we played it safe, afraid of losing and being embarrassed, never to find out how easily we would have succeeded? After the boat ride, the three men reach the house of Esteban. On the other hand, the coolness was brought about by a sudden wind, growing stronger and stronger. Yet as soon as he feels this need, he has a loss for words, not knowing what to say next to his son, or how to say it in the right way. On their way home, everything seems different. Lazaro's best efforts to save the baby turn out to be futile. This shows that realizing something can make our lives a lot easier. Lazaro surprisingly only feels the heat when he thinks about suffering.
