             "To Kill A Mocking Bird" is a well known novel written by Harper lee. The novel portraits prejudice, injustice, and class distinction between the black and white people during the 1930's. In this novel, Harper lee used the "Mockingbird" as a symbol of innocent, beauty, and harmless beings. This represents Tom Robinson and Boo Radley, because these people are the innocent victims in this book, and they play a major part in the significance of this title.
             When someone mentions a "Mockingbird", we immediately think them as a kind of harmless beautiful bird that does nothing but imitate the voices of other birds. It is a fact that they do not bother going into to other people' gardens and wrecking their properties nor do they not attack other creatures! All they ever do is eat, reproduce and sing music for us to get pleasure from.
             As Atticus has once stated in the book "mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy... but sing their hearts out for us that's why it's a sin to kill a mocking." This is why Atticus didn't want to give guns to his children because he knew that Jem would "kill all the blue Js after he had enough of shooting cans"
             If we compare the Mockingbird with the innocent victims in this book we would clearly see that there are a lot of distinctive similarities between them. Such as, Tom Robinson does not harm others nor does he steal from people, and Boo does not bother people nor does he wreck people' properties.
             The mockingbird represents the innocent victims of the book, even from its colour, "black and white" we could see that it is harmless.
             Secondly, most people in Maycomb County believe that Tom Robinson really did rape Mayella Ewells. However in the novel, Lee threw in some great ideas to show us what Tom's actual character was really like. Tom's good boss, Mr Link Deas had shown ...
