American History X

             After watching the file, American History X I started to think about what the world has come too, we think we have changed but in reality we still haven't. It's weird to think that were still fighting about our skin color, this issue has been around for a long time now. This movie is about race hate and the will for one man to change all that.
             When we hear about killing, robbing, and abuse we usually hear it from the victims view. But in this movie we also hear and see the point from the other side, the "bad guys". Their family history and what happened when they were younger made them insecure of themselves and cause them to do awful things to not only themselves but other people. The Nazi youth in the movie have a manipulative leader. The kids do what he wants them to do because they really don't know what they want in their lives. I think these kids really hate the Hispanics, Asian and Negroes; they just take out their problem on them. In the movie Derek Vineyard finally sees all this and he sees how stupid and foolish it is. He is changed from his neo-Nazi class into a more tolerant person by what he sees after going through the jail system. While he was in jail he got the opportunity to communicate with members of other races like the black race. Through his experience he sees that black are people too and they are no different than him. His disposition toward blacks changed just as fast as it was implemented.
             Stereotypes are commonplace in every society. Often times these
             stereotypes are hateful and made to degrade another race, creed, or any other
             group of people. A stereotype is only as strong as the people who believe them.
             Stereotypes are one of the biggest barriers to our human world. As we see in the
