Rebuilding Iraq

             George W. Bush's wanted to remove Saddam Hussein and his arsenal biological weapons. After the American military swept through Iraq in few weeks. The American left a country in shambles. People left with out food, power, and protection. Even though the American removed the evil tyrant Saddam, the people still faced indirect oppression. The question aroused, should the United State be responsible for the reconstruction of Iraq because some nation has to do it? People consider the rebuilding of Iraq to be the biggest reconstructive objectives in the last 50 years. Not only is this going to be dangerous, but also it will be very expensive procedure.
             Congress granted G.W. $87 billion for Military budget and he asked for $20.3 billion to rebuild Iraq. "But it's not a lot compared with the three rounds of Bush tax cuts, which total about $3 trillion (Newsweek 34)." Bush plans on spending $5.1 billion on security, $3.7 billion on public works, $875 million on water sources, $5.7 billion on electricity, $2.1 billion to import oil, $835 million to repair railroads and airports, $850 million on health, $470 million housing, and $300 million on Human Rights (Newsweek pg. 38). Bush spent the rest of budget on the military. What Bush is doing in Iraq shows what kind of people we consist of. After removing Saddam from office, Bush could of said "I go what I wanted lets get out of here." Even though some people want Iraq to take of their owns problems. Bush
             Are the American soldiers safe in Iraq? Most people in Iraq do not like the fact of being occupied by another country. Especially Americans because the differences in culture.
