I am planning on doing my research on Lesotho, primarily the Molika-liko region.
             Research Problem: Experiences of the Molika-liko people with out migration.
             Research Questions: 1) How do locals explain their motivation for out migration
             2) Is their out migration a positive or negative experience and why
             In this paper, I will try to prove that the forced move is having a negative result on the people, and that their main reason for the move in the construction of The Lesotho Highlands Water Project. Also, that the people are not being given everything that they were promised when they were told that they had to move. And that the resettlement/emigration is having a negative aspect on how they development, agriculture, and compensation.
             Resettlement is occurring more and more often in underdeveloped countries because they lack the resources and the backing to stand up for themselves. "Resettlement policies should demand that the majority of the people improve their living standards in an environmentally, economically, institutionally and culturally sustainable fashion during implementation since restoration can be expected to further impoverish what already tends to be poor people. A successful resettlement process involves participation of, and development opportunities for, resettlers as well as institutional capacity, funding, and political will on the part of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation agencies."# And that is not happening in the case in Lesotho. With the construction of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, the residents of Molika-liko are being forces to leave their homes and their land.
