The aim of this survey was to ask a group of people with in the age group 15 to 17, who were their most influential idol in their lives at the moment.
             There was a total of twenty seven secondary students from a private Christian college in Clyde that were between the ages of fifteen and seventeen. They were asked "Who is your most influential idle in your life at the moment" all the students were in the same class and they all were asked individually.
             after questioning all the students, sadly over twenty five percent of the students answered "don't know" and "don't have one" the unusual thing about that was all the people who said they didn't have one were only boys the second most popular choice was family and friends. Two people voted for their cousins and an equal amount voted for their friends, three people voted for more distant members of their family and once again the only people who voted for their family and friends were girls. The third most popular were sports stars which were all AFL footballers, two boys' idols are Nathan Buckley and another boy's idol was Mark Cobland. A few people who said everyone. Two people voted for singers they both were boys. One girl said the little mermaid. Then there was a few people that said their idols were TV actors and one girl s idol was Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King.
             The two that chose everyone meant that they looked up at everyone for their special and unique qualities
             The results of the survey are likely to be shocking to parents due to over one quarter of the people didn't even have a person to look up to. Many parents probably believe that all students would have someone to look up to and if they didn't at least one of them would of said that their parents were their idol.
