As i Lay Dying

             I'm not quite sure what I thought about As I Lay Dying. It seemed really slow at times but when i read it again I started noticing things throughout the book that i had no idea were there the first time i read it.
             This book isn't narrated how most books I'm used to are written. It switches from character to character as each one expresses their thought of a certain situation, which makes it hard to understand, at times. Each person in the Bundren family explains everything a little different then the last character did. This gives you a better idea of the emotions of each character and gives you more details on each person.
             Since this is narrated by the characters in the book its hard to say how the narrator views the characters. But Tull, their neighbor, seemed to refer to the Bundren's as being ignorant. He is always saying things that makes them look inferior to him. Also, Tull seems to feel sorry for them and he helps make the Bundren's look less crazy than they really are because he talks about how they just need help because Addie is sick. "I tell him I will help him out if he gets into a tight, with her sick and all." (Tull, pg.33, surprised way, like he had)
             Darl seems to be more sane than anyone else in the family. He actually wants to visit Addie but everyone else is just worried about making money or making the coffin. "I always said Darl was different from those others. I always said he was the only one of them that had his mother's nature, had any natural affection." (Cora, pg. 21, It was the sweetest thing)Even though hes still a little on the strange side, which being around his family would make anyone a little crazy, hes the most sane out of anyone in his family.
