Grandpa like no other

             People take having a Grandfather for granted. When you lose them, you see how they were a impact in your life if they were in it. So, many memories I had of all the things we shared, places we have gone, times we laughed. I didn't get to say bye, that hurts the most he left me with out saying I Love You. My grandfather was like no other person in many ways.
             I came home from skating the night my Grandfather died. I was twelve years of age at the time. My mom was sitting at the computer crying, at that point I knew something was wrong. The words came out her mouth like she was on slow motion. She said Grandpa died, I was sick to my stomach, basically my best friend was gone. It felt like I had to grow up, an fast.
             I remember Easter Sundays at his house and him dressing me for church. I would always ask him if I could wear his cologne. It was called Gray Flannel, at my age I thought anything he wore was the best. I also remember Thanksgiving day, when football games where on. The Eagles and Cowboys sometimes played, and I am the biggest Cowboys fan and he was the Biggest Eagles fan. At dinner we raced to finish eating so we wouldn't miss the game. He was like a big kid, my Grandmother would say, and understood she loved when we were together.
             When I went to see him sometimes, we would sneak down when my Grandmother went to sleep at 1 in the morning. We would go in the kitchen and he would make his infamous Milkshake. Then bring out a mattress and watch cartoons, Scooby Doo, Jetsons, Flinestones, etc. We would stay until whenever an have a blast watching tv. The next morning I would wake up to the smell of bacon, eggs, waffles, french toast, and pancakes. My grandfather was a master in the kitchen could whip anything you wanted up, an did it with love.
             You would think he was my real grandfather by the way I am talking about him, but he wasn't my mom had a diff
