case study
I have chosen to study a very unique boy named William. William has just turned three years of age. His height when standing is about a little above my knees. He seems to be of normal weight for his age range. In the textbook on page one hundred fifty five its says the normal weight for a three year old is about thirty pounds. He has very blonde hair that is cut short and hazel eyes. He also has a full set of teeth. William lives with his mother and father and his two older sisters. Their household is very disciplined. His parents are strict on what they are allowed to eat as far as junkfood. His parents also encourage him and his sisters to excel in learning new things. William's parents interact with him a lot on learning and playing. I have chosen to study William because he seems very different from other kids his age that I know. I also picked him because he is a member of the family, and it was easier to observe him rather than a stranger's child. William looks like a healthy three-year-old boy. He is very active and does a lot of playing, such as running or chasing. This physical exercise can be seen on him because he doesn't seem to be overweight
Suess books, where as William chooses books that a ten year old might read. He remembers everything you read to him by looking at the picture of the animal as you read it. He enjoys playing games of chase with other children his age. However, he gets over it very quickly when he realizes there are other books. His parents put out a lot of love by hugging and saying, "I love you". If that isn't amazing enough, these are names of animals that I can't even pronounce. William generally eats healthy thanks to his parents. William usually takes two naps a day for about one hour each. I can tell he enjoys this because as I watched him play chase with his friends he couldn't stop smiling or laughing. I believe the quality time they spend together and the discipline in the household all influence William for the better. William's physical skills are very good. His arm muscles are developing to where he can throw a ball a pretty good distance. Eighty percent of the time his parents will cook nutritional meals such as a meat product, a vegetable, bread, and fruit for desert. I also think he is strong enough emotionally to reject the negative things that his peers may say while picking on him for being smart.
