Procrastination

             What does procrastination stand for? Is it the conventional implication of laziness? And this word, "procrastinate" has over time become irritating and insulting. Also the newest generation (our generation), has been repeatedly and unwillingly slapped in the face with this term. I have heard many comments from the older folks that, "those teenagers, who don't do anything, they wait till the last minute to do anything." Sadly we've heard that one far too often. But duh it's not procrastination if you intend on doing it. Who knows maybe this will become a question on the future resume. "Do you procrastinate, please circle yes or no." A brilliant bunch of people would be out of the job; very talented people that just have a great amount of time trying to become "perfect." Procrastination is a lifestyle and a person has to be exceptional at it to play the "lazy" game.
             But seriously what does procrastination really mean? I've approved a quote that now guides my everyday life; "My work is best when I am under pressure." Most of my better essays are written in the time span that we all know as the "night before". Sorry Mrs. Douglas, and any other teacher that's been subjected to my messy hasty handwriting (not that Mrs. Douglas minds or anything). Procrastination you could say is almost like character building. The rare few who can handle the pressure often have rushed lives, or many deadlines, but the point is that they can handle the pressure that procrastination gives and come out on top.
             Procrastination can make or break a person. I say that in complete sincerity. One must handle the immense load of pressure that procrastination can offer with responsibility or the individual will crack completely.
