What do most people search for on the Internet? Sex? According to the searchterms.com (a service which ranks the key words entered into search engines), sex was the leader of all searched terms entered. But that is no surprise. It is what the new number one term that could come as a shocker. It is not money, free, or even health. Sex has dominated the list ever since the World Wide Web was invented. Now it seems that .MP3 is now on top of the list of search terms and top interest of the Record Industry Association of America. (Knight Systems). What is .MP3? Well it is a compressed file that stands for "motion picture experts group, audio level three." Some people believe that this will be the future. Dexter Holland of the group, The Offspring, told Jolie Lash of Rolling Stone Magazine, "I don't know what Metallica's motives or reasons for what they're doing are, but as far as we're concerned, I support the exchange of MP3 files online. This is all just the beginning of the long battle between Internet users and copyrighted software creators. What about the royalties they should have paid for ninety percent of their art? They steal what real music they need and discard the rest. This includes taping sections at our concerts, and streaming our music via our website.
