decisions
Decision making skills is a major part of being a parent in the twentieth century. My parents raised me to their fullest potential, but there were a few mistakes made in their decisions. They forced me to attend a private school that they thought was the best schooling environment for me. My parents basically gave or tried to give me anything I requested, versus me working and earning my own way. The time they spent with me was very plentiful, but it was not when I needed it the most. I hope to raise children of my own one day. I will raise my children the way I was raised, but correcting the few errors my parents made when raising me. My parents wanted the best for me. They went out of their way to make sure I grew up with a good education. They forced me to attend a private school against my will. It costed them quite a bit of money, but I'm not sure it was money well spent. The school's staff changed over the six years I was there. They became more strict on kids behavior by issuing demerits. After a total number of them, you end up with in school suspension or suspended from school. My demerits continued to stack up and I kept getting suspended from school. My mother decided to take me out because she
I will raise them to the fullest learning from the mistakes made in the past. If they ask for something and their parent or guardian denies them, they throw a temper tantrum and knock products off the shelves. They were not very drastic mistakes but they will not be mistakes made by me in raising my children. This is one mistake I plan to correct in the future with children of my own. My kids will learn that you can not get what you want forever if you ask, but you will have to get out and earn things on your own. My parents paid for my education for six years when I could have went to a public school for free like I wanted. If I'm not able to, I'll try my best to fit them in my schedule. They did not take the time to listen to me when I tried to communicate to them about some of the problems I had growing up. I'd enjoy putting one of my children in a recreational league for a sport and watch them play on the weekends if I can not do it during the week. Take your time to make the best decision for best results. Due to working on night shifts for approximately four years, my father didn't get to spend enough time with me doing homework, going out, participating in school and sporting events, etc. If I wanted expensive footwear or clothing they always made a way to provide it for me. I will try my best to be there for my children whenever they need it. If they want to voice their opinions then I will listen as long as it is reasonable.
