Organ DOnation

             Thousands of people die every year because they have organ failure. This can be prevented if more people became organ donors. It is very easy to become one. Just sign the back of your driver's license or ID card. Being a donor won't affect your health care or funeral service. There are a variety of different organs that can be donated. Life goes on; be an organ donor.
             If you want to be an organ donor, you first have to tell your family. Your organs will not be removed without permission from your family. The second step is to sign the back of your driver's license or ID card. You need to have two people witness you sign it, preferably two family members. Third, you need to join the organ/tissue registry when you visit your local Driver Services facility. You do not have to pay, nor do you get any compensation for donating an organ or tissue. I don't know why you wouldn't want to donate your organs.
             Being a donor will not in any affect your health care. Some people believe that the hospital will let you die just so they can remove your organs to put in another person. This is not true and it is illegal. Donation is never considered until you have been declared dead. The hospital will never remove your organs while you are still living. Organ donation will not affect your funeral services either. Cremation or an open casket even be used and it would not affect the services. I think you would be stupid not to donate your organs.
             If you still are not convinced to donate your organs, there are a variety of organs that can be donated. Up o 25 people can benefit from one donor! Also, heart valves can be used for children that have been born with heart problems as well as adults with heart disease. Tendons can be used to fix injured joints.
