Based on the development of human beings, we derive our set of moral values not only from the Ten Commandments but also based on the enlightened self-interest. ther with the nervous systems that take up an important role by letting people understand how to be sensitive and care about other's feelings, human beings would therefore behave ethically in order to live happily. In essence, ethics without Gods do exists within human beings. Ultimately the two-way relationship of happiness runs in a cycle and human beings would work together harmoniously under the same set of ethical behaviors. Even if one does not believe in God, human beings are built in a way that they could act ethically because deep within, each one of us has a heart that is capable of doing things in consideration of others. Emotional suggestibility and attachment imprintability provides us with a moral foundation. When build on top of people's set of natural qualities, human beings would be able to act under the principal of enlightened self-interest. He believes that due to the complexity of the human world, unlike the relatively simpler worlds of insects and mammals or animals, people could not live a life based merely on heredity. In order to live with the unpredictability human beings face in life, people need a system which could adapt to different changes efficiently and effectively and that is culture. Zindler also talked about heredity versus culture.
