"Christopher Columbus, The Dead White Male" Concentrate on this for a minute. Imagine that the Indians, instead of Christopher Columbus, sailed to the West Indies to rape and pillage the natives. After enslaving the population there and stripping it of its gold and resources, the Indians venture to Europe and conquering the Europeans. First goes Spain, then France, then the rest of Europe. About 90% of Europe's inhabitants are vanquished. The English and Celtic languages slowly become extinct, as Indians write in books of their glorious conquest of the Isles and of Europe. Would this make the Indians a 'great people'? No. This country now would be nothing without greats like Shakespeare, Franklin and Einstein (Frazier).
