             A Father's Role
             What exactly is the role of a father? The role of a father is to contribute to the growth and development of a child. A father's role is to make sure that his child or children does not lack any of the necessities of life. The father's role is important because it has a profound influence on the social, emotional, and intellectual development of a child. Father's have an opportunity to relive their own father child relationship and parent their own children in a way that contributes positively to the child's growth and development. Raising a child involves father participation, a large income and daily contact with both parents.
             A father's participation in a son's life is more significant. Why, because often a son is trying to be what their father is or what their father is representing. A son growing up with a father figure would make life easier and more structured. A son having a positive role model, makes him have certain insight on things that only a father could provide. It will give the son knowledge of what it is really like to be a man and what it takes to make it in this manly world we live in today. The advice that a father gives to his son, he will never forget; it is considered a life long lesson. As in the poem "Advice to My Son", the father gives the son advice that he will stick in his mind forever. The father gives the son advice on how to live his life to the fullest and how to look at the world and make the most of it. In the poem "Against Blossoms" by Dave Smith, says that a child will always remember their father's actions. Even if he is no longer present in the child's life, the memories are permanent.
