Ephedra
On April 28th, I conducted a survey on Ephedra and the FDA. The results were interesting and I got other peoples perspectives on the dangerous drug Ephedra. This is a doctor from WedMD.com explaining Ephedra "Ephedra is a stimulant, much like caffeine, and probably works by increasing heart rate and metabolism, according to Stephen Bent, MD, who is a clinical researcher at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Studies that show ephedra assists in weight loss over the short term, but there is no evidence that the weight stays off when use of the product is stopped. It is a harmful drug that can do damage to your circulatory system and you nervous system and other various body functions. I polled 50 fellow students during the day. The responses were all unique. Most of the people that I polled had a negative look at the drug. The people who knew what the drug was were mainly against it except for a few exceptions. The first question I asked was "Have you ever heard of the Drug Ephedra?" Over half of the people have heard about it. The next question I asked was if the person would ever take a diet pill for any reason. Around 85% of the people said that they wouldn't take anything,
Diet pills are a huge scam and once you stop using them the yo-yo effect comes into play with most people and the weight can come right back after all that work. The fourth question I asked was, "Do you feel that people should only take it if they have a doctor's prescription?" 65% of the people felt that a doctor's prescription sounded like a good idea to regulate the use of Ephedra. com they talk about the danger of the drug. The only problem with that is that I could feel and hear my heart beat. What a bad way to die at such a young age because he was only in his late 20's. I am overweight and being the idiot I can be, I bought a bottle of "Stacker 2 - The World's Strongest Fat Burner" and it was a big mistake. "They found that ephedra-based complaints made up 62% of all such complaints, despite the fact that the herb accounts for less than 1% of all herbal product sales. which is very good since it is so dangerous. The FDA should take it off the market that makes the pills available to the general public in an Over The Counter state. The only other thing is that if the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) were to ban the drug, people who were addicted to it could obtain it through other means. Like the Baseball player on the Baltimore Orioles during spring training. I couldn't sit still; all I wanted to do was go run around and not stay in one place. I keep thinking how I would look thin like I did 3 years before and that drove me to yet take another one later on in the late afternoon.
