             The critical lensesliterature opens a dark window on the soul revealing more about what is bad in human nature then what is good? can be interpreted that authors teach us and shows us what will happen if we live a cretin way then just by showing us the good human nature as to offer. There are two works of literature that shows this quote and its interpretation to be correct, they are Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury and The Ox-Bow Incident by Walter Van Tilburg Clark.
             The novel Fahrenheit 451 show use though the plot and theme that human nature will become lazy and meaningless if it is allowed to. The future society that the characters live in is one where human life is little valued, this lead's to the population not caring if the ones that they clam to love die in a car crash or in a war. Most people have kids only to keep the spices alive. The main evil that Ray Bradbury is trying to warn the readers about is the though this laziness and disregard fir human life there is no want and understanding of learning what others have warned them. In this society there are no books allowed and if one is found to have a book there home is burned down by the fire men, who in this future are the ones who enforce the no book rules. Also though characterization one can see that the main character Montag, a fire man and Beatty the fire chief on Montags fire house are the ways people are evil. Ray Bradbury shows that Montag is just another citizen until he find's that in this perfect society he is very unhappy and will need to change his life. Montag will do this be going against Beatty and fighting for the rite to learn. Because of this Ray Bradbury is showing that Montag, and evil souls have a chance to reverse what they have done and do the rite thing.
             The Ox-Bow Incident by Walter Van Tilburg Clark shows the interpretation and the quote to be true with the literary elements of plot, theme and characterization. The plot on the novel ...
