             Soon after it goes to when Dill arrives, a small boy that befriends Scout & Jem, they play games and get along generally well, although after the summer holidays, Dill has to go back to his home (he stayed in Maycomb with his aunty).
             After the summer holidays, it is time for Scouts first day of school... during her first day, her teacher got upset with her, and her father (Atticus Finch) for her being able to read, she said it was bad for her and that he is doing it wrong, when she gets home Atticus talks to her and she tells him what had happened, and he made an agreement, that if she continued to go to school, he would continue to read to her.
             Further on through the year a football game arose, and Jem being a really big fan of the game, wanted his father eagerly to join in, and because of his old age Atticus wouldn't, he said it was because of his back, because of this Jem ran and hid up a tree.
             Eventually the summer holidays came around again and Dill came back again; they ventured around played, etc. but soon enough Dill learned of Boo Radley the person that lived next door to Jem and Scout that they had always been afraid of, thinking of him as something very dangerous... Dill made all of them venture closer to the house, and even psyched Jem into touching the house. Soon after the summer holidays were over again and they where all back at school. Jem and scout (on the way to home) found items in a tree next to the Radley's house (e.g. pocket watches, wooden carved figurines of them etc) and soon after they saw Nathan Radley (Boo Radley's older brother) filling up the spot where they found the items with cement. Later on after school when Jem and Scout where playing they saw a dog walking towards them very oddly, Jem made Scout come
