Wars
This essay will examine the Contact zone of wars and incidences of victims of conflicts and mistreatment. In history, war is supposedly the answer to all problems and still to this day many leaders still establish war as the means to an end. In these instances war is used as a tool to obtain land, fight off terrorists, and gain power. However, I will analyze the other side and take the perspective that it actually inflicts hardships, death and is counterproductive. War shifts and destroys whole communities and economies, making it difficult for survival. War causes the changing relationships between nations, societies, and individuals. To some, war brings about the loneliness of fear and the self-absorption of misery. It changes the people as well as the fighters themselves. This irony is comparable to the quote in Pratt's Art of the Contact Zone in which "the importance of what we came to call "safe houses. Individuals do not just accept their fate it is most likely fear forces them into submission. It seems that the super powers had little concern for these countries except when it was a benefit to them or there is a reason to exploit them. "Torture, maiming, rape, mutilation, murder-all of the worst injuries that human beings inflict on each other serve as the capstones to their stories.
