The legalization of homosexual marriages has been a topic discussed many times. Should the society and governments of the world allow homosexuals to be married?
             It is a fact that homosexual marriages defy time-tried traditions and the sacred meaning of marriage, a union between a man and a woman. However, what is the real meaning in marriage? Marriage is about loving someone to the extent of being willing to spend your life with that person, and to care and love that person regardless of what happens. Why shouldn't two people of the same gender be allowed to marry if they truly feel just as heterosexual couples feel, then. Is there is anything sacred in an unwilling heterosexual marriage, then? Marriage by unanimous definition is already about love, so therefore a homosexual couple in love should be allowed to marry.
             It is also true that homosexual marriages are 'immoral' in a sense. Marriage shouldn't be allowed to encompass these immoralities. However, under the definition that marriage is between a man and a woman, shouldn't incest and polygamy be allowed in the world? However, these other two forms of union are also considered to be 'immoral'. Therefore, should marriage not be allowed to happen at all? However, incest is rare, as there is the possibility of genetic defects created by marrying family and close relatives. Polygamy and bigamy is also punishable by law in most countries.
             While homosexuals make up less than 10% of the world, they are still a significant population in number. If the races and religion that make up the minorities are not so discriminated against, and they're allowed to marry and intermarry with other races. Homosexuals can also be considered to be a minor race so therefore, why should we be discriminating towards them?
