5 major religions
What are the five major religions in society today? Of the many religions of the world only five of which are considered mainstream. These include: Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam. Some of these are very similar, but each of these religions have very unique and distinct characteristics that set them apart from one another. Although there are some similarities between them all together they are very different. First of all, Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world. Hinduism is considered to be a polytheistic religion, because there is the belief in many gods. The number of gods that Hindus believe in is estimated to be in the thousands. These gods are separated in to celestial gods and atmospheric gods. Although, some would say that there is one true god named Brahamn which means the one. Unlike some of the other religions Hinduism was not founded by one person instead it is considered to be a mixing of many beliefs of the people in the area of its beginning. Hindus perform a serious of rituals and sacrifices to keep their faith. Hindu worship there many gods in what is called a temple. Also the caste system is set up according to occupation. Some of the firm believers are called monks who stay in monasteries they live there life by the vinya which is set rules of peaceful way of life. Next Buddhism is aestithic religion because theres are no gods or god like creatures in which you worship.
