Prohibition of Abortions
Procreation is the greatest gift we humans are all blessed with. When a women's womb is fertilized this miraculous feat is the beginning of a journey which loved ones share. The women in Canadian society today have been given a legal binding right to have the choice if they choose to abort a fetus or not. There have been many issues concerning this new right. Is right to end a life? Isn't that murder? When is a fetus considered a human being? These questions have been answered by the Supreme Court of Canada and it is proven and by law abortion is legal. Some major concerns as to why abortion should be made illegal again in Canada include: The human rights under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the moral issues that all Canadians confront, as well as their conscience; and also health reasons that consequent the actions of abortions. We as human have certain rights and freedoms with reasonable limits prescribed by the law. Under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which was adopted and proclaimed by General Assembly Resolution 217 A (III) of December 10, 1948; it is stated under article three: "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person". With this being stated many would have r
The fact where we humans try to play god and act as if we can determine if someone should live or not should with reasonable reasoning should be permanently outlawed. The sufferer experiences the persistent recurrence of images or memories of the event, together with nightmares, insomnia, a sense of isolation, guilt, irritability, and loss of concentration". Without being given the chance to live a life many would believe making abortions legal is unjust. Moreover, the rates for younger women (up to 29 years) were almost double for those who had had abortions than for those who had given birth. Many researchers believe that one of these dangers is breast cancer, although no conclusive proof of a direct causative link exists and it remains unacknowledged by the abortion industry. Abortion is particularly dangerous for women who have chlamydia, the world's most common bacterial sexually transmitted infection. Some would ask what if someone is raped? Or are victims of unwilling incest? These acts are understandable and should be the ONLY reason why abortion should be legal, to those who have been raped or are victims of unwilling incest. They say that the women's embryo has DNA and is alive so it is just a pre-mature human and should be kept alive to mature into a human. A study by Professor Joel Brind of University of Ottawa concluded that 24,500 cases of breast cancer in Canada were linked to abortion8. We as humans have been born with morals and a conscience where an inner voice helps us decide what is right or wrong. Also when abortion was illegal many have done it in back alleys and uncertified doctors and had caused many deaths to women. No such link has been identified between miscarriage and breast cancer as doctors agree that hormones produced during pregnancy have a protective effect, while induced abortion causes a sudden hormonal change which can affect breast cells and cause cancer. A review in the British Journal of Psychiatry in 1992 found that approximately 10 percent of women having an abortion will suffer marked, severe or persistent psychological or psychiatric disturbances. In Canada we have laws that all persons must follow. eason to believe, making abortion legal is taking away the unborn child's human rights.
