Conspiracy- Aliens in Roswell
In 1947 the country believed that aliens landed in Roswell, New Mexico. Many people unaware what the government was doing and that had beliefs of aliens had every right to think that some kind of extraterrestrial activity was going on in New Mexico. The media started to spread the stories before anyone got the facts out. Everyone was now questioning, if not believing, that aliens had reached earth. If the media would have been better informed, and the government would have worked harder to be open and let the public know what was going on, there may or may not have been a Roswell Incident. The story spread that aliens had come to the United States on July 8, 1947. The Army Air Field issued a press release saying it had recovered the wreckage of a "flying disk." Reports from as early as 1862 of an alien aircraft crashing into a small, remote island in the Indian Ocean killing all of its twelve occupants. (Bartholomew) Aliens may exist, but there has not been any solid facts that prove the existence of them in Roswell, New Mexico. (Huston) These views are understandably valid. Several witnesses explained them to be very similar, "I thought they were plastic dolls. Military had stated that they saw a flying saucer on record, many people use this as a cornerstone for their belief in UFOs (Handy). The main fact that led the public to believe that there were aliens in Roswell included the statement by the Military about recovering flying saucers. Another issue with this incident was the sighting of actual aliens, which turned out to be test dummy drops. These are not strong numbers to support the conspiracy (Handy).
