Legal Cloning of Humans
What is a human cloning? Is it making exact duplicates of a person? Can it be done? What are it's benefits? Human cloning does not mean that you get an exact copy of a person. This idea comes from Hollywood and numerous fictional writers. The Human Cloning Foundation clearly states: "Cloning merely recreates the genes of the ancestor, not what he/she has learned or experience. It cannot re-create an exact identical copy of the person." When a human is cloned, it simply shares the same DNA as it's parent, not the parents characteristics. Professor Sangeeta P. mentions this: "A human clone is a time-delayed identical twin of another person. A clone is not an exact replica of the original, but just a much younger identical twin. As with identical twins, the clone and the original being will have a different set of fingerprints, and possibly a much different personality."Although human cloning is often thought of as unethical, people forget to think about the many positive effects of human cloning.Yes, cloning
Lastly, world hunger could be prevented, and some people could possibly live longer. Human cloning has been a popular debate topic for many years. Then these cows would be brought to third world countries, like Afghanistan, where whole cities could be made healthy and immune to certain diseases. Another point consists of the thought of rejuvenation by cloning. Boosting efficiency through nuclear transfer would make cloning the better choice. Will human cloning be a great leap for mankind, or will it bring a sense of moral emptiness? With the use of human cloning, there would be a huge medical and non-medical advancement. Cows could be genetically engineered to produce pharmaceuticals in their milk. Also, nerve and skin regeneration will be faster and easier. Common diseases like leukemia, cystic fibrosis, cancer, or genetic diseases could be cured. of the human embryo is indeed very possible. This issue raises many challenging questions about human liberty, dignity and identity. Accident victims with deformed bodies should now be able to have their features repaired with new, safer technology. Could cloning be the long searched-for fountain of youth? My final point is that human cloning has the power to cure infertility. The current options for infertile couples are painful, insufficient, expensive, and heart breaking. Although scientists do not know exactly how cells separate into specific kinds of tissues, nor understand why cancerous cells lose their uniqueness, cloning, at last, could answer how to switch cells on and off, thus curing cancer.
