Also one person dies every five minutes from a smoking related disease. Everywhere you turn there are smokers, mainly teenagers and women, and most of them are under the age of eighteen. Following are some other disturbing facts from studies. Smoking affects a person's health in many serious ways, having both short and long term effects. A study shows that milligram for milligram, the nicotine contained in all cigarette smoke is more potent than heroin. Smoking dulls more than your social presence, you start to lose your biological senses, and mainly you lose your sense of smell and taste. Another point is that smoking is not socially acceptable in the world today. There are many disasters and accidents that happen from smokers being careless. It makes the area you are in stink badly; the non-smokers eyes can burn and they can develop headaches. Out of 6,600 fires, smokers' cause 40% of them - that comes to 2,640 fires. You tell me if the following sequence after lighting up is healthy and invigorating. For those of you with infants and young kids please realize that they are seriously affected by second hand smoke too.
