             1.)Katherine Mansfield was born in Wellington, New Zealand, into a middle-class colonial family. Her father, Harold Beauchamp, was a banker and her mother, Annie Burnell Dyer, was of genteel origins. New Zealand's most famous writer, who was closely associated with D.H. Lawrence and something of a rival of Virginia Woolf. Mansfield's creative years were burdened with loneliness, illness, jealousy, alienation - all this reflected in her work with the bitter depiction of marital and family relationships of her middle-class characters. Her short stories are also notable for their use of stream of consciousness. Mansfield was diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease that made her very weak and ended up finding out she had tubulerculosis but ended up dying of a pulmonary hemorrhage.
             2.) There isn't real significance to "Miss Brill" because the title of the story is the name of the main character in this short story. But the title being only "Miss Brill" may imply(symbolize) that the whole short story is going to be about her, and perhaps her lonliness or independence because of the how her name is "Miss Brill" and not introduced with a first name.It realates to the story because it is the name of the character in the short story.
             3.) The single incident that really starts the plot of the short story would be when miss brill decided to take out her fur and wear it out to the park because thats when she ended up going home very unhappy because two people were making fun of her. The whole time she was out there in the park sitting on the bench wasnt that bad, it wasn't bad but it could of been better, but it all changed when those two people sat down and made her feel very depressed. The conflicts in the story were relevant to the overall meaning of the story because really the conflict was just Miss Brill wanting people to eavesdrop on others conversations but when she did this
