Barbie

I Am a "Barbie" Girl Attention all Barbie lovers, our beloved princess is under attack! The enemy is trying to exile her from the hands of our children, depriving them of the innocent fun we all experienced during our childhood. These Barbie haters need to be stopped and brought to their senses. We need to come together and show them that Barbie is not the evil blond bimbo corrupting our children's mind that they believe her to be. It seems silly to me that a doll who has been played with through generations and has deservedly become an icon could cause so much controversy. But, the anti-Barbie activist will not let up. Another skill Barbie allowed me to realize was my nak for fashion. " Let our children enjoy her as we did. "They are not meant to be role models or major influences in a kid's life. Finally, when the day comes that my daughter asks for her first Barbie doll, I will be proud to buy her one. Kevin Leary wrote, "They encourage children to be anything or do anything they can image. My Barbies were always well maintained, having outfits for any occasion. " We as adults need to stop passing the blame for the low self-esteem crisis facing our teenagers today onto a plastic doll they played with when they were young. If children are increasingly having difficulty with body images, maybe the focus should be on providing positive guidance and familial support, not looking to point blame on an inanimate object. " Anyone who has played with Barbie knows that she is not all about her looks. I only hope that she will have the many exciting adventures that I had with Barbie as a little girl.
