An Outside Perspective on Alpha Chi Rho
             Appearing as just a white house sitting on the corner of First St. and Russell Dr., the home of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity pushes boundaries inside with its way of life. With 29 brothers living in the house, and three living elsewhere on campus, the group has a great deal of diversity amongst members. The main common grounds contained by each member would be his love and loyalty for the house he represents. Unlike at the dorms, they take complete care of and run the house they all live in. The group collectively elects a board of brothers to run the house, and the rest take over other smaller duties inside the house. The group also has a weekly meeting in which most aspects of the house and living are discussed. Beyond the level of taking care of the house, each person casts a glow of their personality onto the group. After conversations with some of the brothers that have been living in the house for a few years, the stories collectively portray how they have molded the living standards according to their wishes. This arises the question of how can such different people come together to shape a household. The differences are clearly seen by spending time on the upper two living floors of the house where each person has a room. On occasion it is almost overwhelming in the hallway with all the different genres of music leaking out into a collection of noise. They also choose to spend their free time participating in different activities outside of the house. While some would prefer to just stay inside and sit on the couch, others choose to do various activities such as crew, skateboarding, basketball, or go to the bars. But this is what gives the house such a unique atmosphere, when you can walk into one room and see someone playing some death metal on his guitar, then walk into the room next to it and there is a group watching a football game.
