Hinduism and Christianity
The world is filled with many religions and beliefs. Some religions have close similarities and some are extremely different. The world is a complicated place that we as human beings have been trying to understand since our species began on this earth. Religion has been created to help us understand who it is that we are, where we came from and where we will go. Christianity is the most popular and practice religions in the modern world. It has the bible, a collection of scriptures from thousands of years of faith. It has said to be a strict belief that does not accept any other thought except for what the Bible says. Hinduism is also a very prominent religion today. It, like Christianity is extremely ancient. The Hindu faith on the other hand is not as narrow minded. It takes into consideration and accepts the idea that there may be other answers. It is always growing. Unlike the Bible and Christianity the Hindu religion has no set scriptures that it derived from. It's origin is unknown. What are the similarities and differences of these faiths? Do they share one common goal? By the end of this paper I hope that we can try and understand the concepts behind these beautiful religions
The belief that marriages are made in heaven is very much true in case of Hinduism. Marriage like most of the Hindu beliefs is very spiritual, two persons is a sacred relationship that is not limited to this life alone. The Church has still held the catholic marriage in high regard. Christianity has not changed for centuries and will remain unchanged unless there is a second coming, as the New Testament predicts. What happens after the soul leaves the body and before it reincarnates again is a great mystery about which we can form an idea after studying the scriptures. Although we believe in heaven and believe that all our love ones will meet at heavens gate, we still mourn in the death of this world. It only adjusts its course and returns again to the earth to continue its journey. Their bad actions lead them to suffering and unhappiness, while is good actions lead them to happiness and spiritual success. Death for Christians is very devastating. We have the Bible that has scriptures from prophets and the founders of the faith. The relationship between couples is essentially a relationship of the souls. Although it seems that the vow is being corrupted by the up rise in divorce. Both are filled with stories that almost fairytale like and actually may be. and open our mind to any true meanings behind them.
