             This article talks about Fords attempt to improve emissions and help the world be a "greener" place to live. One of Fords attempts to improving the environment is by improving their line of trucks. They now export less smog-forming pollution than they did two years ago. Chapter 2 talks about pollution and its relation with the market. Sales rely on emissions, standards, and statistics. Ford is trying to reach the top by jumping up four spots in the most pollution free vehicle in 2 years. If Ford ignored their emission standards their sales would have dropped because lack of customers and "ratings" that they would receive by popular magazines etc.
             A tariff is a charge on imported goods. The US is proposing to eliminate all tariffs. This means that no charges would be made on imported goods and theoretically improve the economy. By 2015 they plan on having all tariffs be eliminated. Tariffs help manage imports and exports because of the charge they put on them. This way mass production over seas costs to be imported simply because its overseas. This encourages local ( homeland US ) to produce within itself and build itself up instead of relying on other countries. Another attempt to improve the economy. Now that many products brought in America are totally reliant on over-sea countries, the US now plans on elimination of tariffs.

             Small businesses are growing rapidly in the year 2002. The only problem is the difficulties on keeping up with technology. Small businesses can grow and grow but this calls for a demand of technology.
