Chills of excitement floated through my body as I lied in bed trying to fall asleep one night in the year of 1997 when I lived in Korea. Visions of the plays I memorized and the pressure I felt to win my first soccer tournament prevented my rest however. I could not suppress the anticipation I felt for my first soccer tournament. Forcing the disturbing thoughts from seeping in and overcoming my body and mind, I tossed and turned in bed. To this day I still wonder how I slept at all that night.
