This year, there will be a lot of cicadas coming out of the ground from their larva stages. First, they dig to the surface of the earth; then, they shed their husky brown shells and climb trees or other high surfaces to dry their wings in the sun. Finally, they are able to fly and mate with other cicadas. Not that I've ever tasted a cicada, or ever will, but I saw someone on the television eat a cicada, live, and describe it as chicken. That will be fun, because they taste like chicken. mes see carrying a cicada, also known as "cicada killers. However, once, when I was younger, I did try to freeze a cicada in coup of water in hopes of preserving it, and maybe even cryogenically freezing it. However, this year, there is supposed to be a record number of cicadas: swarms of them. This groups of cicadas is called the "batch 17" cicadas because they come out from under the ground every 17 years to mate. They make a strange whisper sound to attract female cicadas, which can often be heard during the night in trees.
