The events that happened on September 11, 2001 change our nation forever. For many of the 3000 lives lost that day change came with no warning especially for those families. One of the big changes that occurred over the events of September 11 is our airport security. What happened that day was devastating. But have airports gone too far in their increase security precaution. In my opinion they have. One of the biggest changes is all the inconvenience and at times embarrassment travels have to go through just to get on the plane or take a child to the airline gate.

Of course expect your carry on to be search again before you get on the plane. And finally I could hand them over to security were they would be happy to give them to goodwill. If things in this nation get that out of hand, then we can gradually move up to those measures, but don't put the general public through that embarrassment and frustration to start off with. This time I had an old Swiss army knife on my key chain. Does this not sound crazy and embarrassing? At least we are still able to carry on one bag and one personal item. And how about this when going through the security gate expect that the security guard will see through your clothes. I have taken my son Patrick to airport twice and ran into two inconveniences. Is a hijacker going to be a ten year old? But what is most frustrating is I knew I wasn’t going to do anything bad, but still I was automatically thought of as a potential suspect. If your packages are wrapped they will be search thoroughly and can be possible destroyed. Of course in my predicament I chose opinion three. There is a need for change since 911. My first option was to go all the way back to my car and leave the scissors there (remember I was running late).
