Ender Wiggin is the third child in a family of geniuses whose birth was authorized by the government. Ender is chosen by the Military to save the world from being destroyed by aliens called buggers. Before being chosen Ender wears a monitor that allows the Military to view the world as Ender does. Ender's schoolmates hate him and bullies Ender around. So Ender brutally thrashes a boy named Stilson and ends up killing him.

In Battle School Colonel Graff isolates Ender from his peers. Inside the battle room, Ender figures out how to maneuver in gravity. Ender manages to get farther than anyone before him in the mind game.

Ender is abruptly promoted to Salamander Army. Bonzo Madrid, the commander, does not like Ender and does not want him around. Ender does not follow Bonzo’s commands and ends up helping the Salamander Army. Then Ender is traded to the Rat Army and positioned in Dink Meeker's platoon. Ender is attacked and injures four older boys. Ender begins to see that the adults are leaving him to fend and protect himself.

Meanwhile, Peter has convinced Valentine that it is time for them to make a name for themselves. Valentine agrees to work with him because she wants their impact to be a positive one. By this time Ender

However, they think and take action totally different and their intentions are totally opposite.

Peter’s hatred for Ender and how it affected Ender’s thoughts and decisions puzzled me through the entire novel. However the night Ender’s Monitor was removed Peter stood over Ender’s bed thinking Ender was asleep. He finds a queen pupa, left behind for him to find a place for the buggers to live again. Telling Ender constantly how simple killing him is. Ender’s Game is the type of novel that keeps one on the edge of their seat wondering what is going to happen next. Peter hated Ender and wanted to kill him and told Ender how much he hated him and wanted him dead. Every time Ender would kill someone he did not intend to, he was thinking about his future. is nine years old and a platoon leader in Phoenix Army under Petra's command. An older brother should be teaching his younger brother the ropes and the younger brother should be following the big brother around. The Government was telling Peter that Ender was smarter, stronger and flat out better than he was. Ender can think to the queen, and sees that the buggers did not truly wish to fight the humans and feels their sorrow for all that happens.

What struck me about Ender’s Game is how someone would attack Ender and in the act of protecting himself Ender would injure his attacker.

My Response

Ender’s Game is one of the best novels I have ever read. To be so intelligent and mature why could Ender not see that him and Peter was of course similar because they are brothers and have similarities.
