Macbeth is a very important character in the play Macbeth. He plays a very important role and the conflict that arises due to him is what keeps the play alive and enjoyable. "Conflict is the essence of drama", applies to this play really well. Meaning, without conflict in this Shakespeare edition we would have not had such a good play as what we just read for the past many days. Without the conflict that Macbeth had caused in this play, it would have been the most stupidest and boring thing around. It would have meant nothing to each and everyone one of us and I'm sure we would have never Macbeth is at the beginning a very mature individual with a well established character. There are many factors that contribute to the changes of Macbeth's attitude. Here he is saying that he's a strong kinsman, he's a humble leader, and he felt sorry for him. Here he is trying to tell us that he could've died a happy life and not have to remember about that bad thing he has done to him and his country. If its not there, he will still see it in his imagination when he looks at his hands. Here Macbeth was expected to put all he absolutely could into his fighting so that he could therefore get all he absolutely could out for his country and also and more importantly, so that he could look as a strong kinsman and leader to fellow teammates. The prophecies given by the witches to Macbeth were, All hail, Macbeth!hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!, All hail Macbeth, hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!, All hail Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter. He tell us this by stating, "What hands are here? Ha! They pluck out mine eyes! With all Great Neptune's Oceans wash this blood clean from my hand? No; this my hand will rather the multitudinous seas incardadine, making the green one red" (II,ii,76-80). These prophecies were given by the witches to inform Macbeth that he will be thane of Cawdor, Thane of Glamis, and King of Scotland. Although saying this, Macbeth was still determined to murder Duncan and take the title of "King of Scotland". After winning the battle for Scotland and once King Duncan is reported about it by a solider, he then calls Macbeth "O valiant cousin! worthy gentleman!"(I,ii,26). From the beginning of the play, Macbeth was a very strong leader and noble man.
