Analyze of Wizard ofOz

The ageless classic The Wizard of Oz was one of my favorite children movies of all time. As children grow up, each one will at one time or another goes through a series of changes. Many change in different ways, some rebel, maturity levels differ from boys to girls. It also depends a lot on how the children were raised, scenarios such as the lack of a father figure determine how the child will act. Dorothy seemed to be a very immature girl; instead of dealing with h

Dorothy would be all alone in Kansas. This place somewhere away from home was a beautiful place with lots of color, a place that could only exist in a child's mind. She ran away then realized that now she was truly alone. And somehow nothing was exactly what it seemed. Everything set in that she may never see her loved ones again and she wanted to go home. Since she was the only child around it seemed as though she might not have anyone her age to talk to. This was a quick journey through life forcing Dorothy to mature extremely quickly. Toto, the dog, was the only companion she had and when he was to be taken away, she became frightened. When she awakes in Oz, it's a world for a child, a dream world. But as Dorothy travels along, she realizes there are people and things from home that she needs and misses. Her grandparents and the farmhands were older than her and were too preoccupied with their daily duties to play. Kansas was a place where Dorothy dreamed of a better land and when she arrived there, she realized that there was honestly no place like home where she had everything she could need. Typical of youths, she did not fully think before she acted.
