ancient asia

The ancient Asian cultures have been significantly influential to the development of world cultures. Both Indian and Chinese societies have unique and attractive religious as well as spiritual beliefs. India's civilizations, even as early as 2700 BC, was comparably advanced. They organized city streets with brick houses in a contemporary grid pattern. The fact that they also had a sewer system at all is quite impressive when trying to picture early civilizations. The Indus valley tribes of peoples also have one of the remaining mysteries of the world today- an untranslatable written language. The art of the bronze and Stone Age is detailed and sophisticated for this time period. The Dancing Girl and other sculptures appear to be very close to scale. That has not been typical of ancient art in other cultures. When the Aryans invaded, the population of the region changed dramatically from dark-skinned to lighter-skinned peoples and introduced a new language that is now the classic language of India. The Aryans also had an effect on the social class divisions. From the untouchables, the people with the lowliest jobs, up to the priests and scholars- the most highly regarded professions in the society. This caste

They believed that those with intelligence should hold prestigious and important positions while those who did not have high abilities should take lower jobs that still needed to be done to run the society. It is endless, unlimited, and undetectable to the senses. The rest of Chinese civilization did not seem to advance as quickly as the civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, or even India. The property owning nobles were the ones who were well off and made the laws. The Zhou Dynasty seemingly came to the rescue in the first century BC. The harmony of their lives, they attribute to the balance of night and day, coolness and heat, dryness and moisture and so on. The Brahman is everything and is everywhere. Chinese culture also believed and relied on future tellers. They had elaborate burials and sacrifices to honor the dead. The tombs of the rulers were probably the most obvious clue as to how harsh the social order was- as least as rigid as India's society. This new selection system still roots today's occupation selection process. The religion focuses a lot on living the right way and being spiritual whole. The one force is called Brahma and it is not the equivalent of a deity. The good deeds one does in life determines what form he or she will take in the next life and hopefully, eventually reach a point where they no longer live and die, live and die, but reach that state of peacefulness and their Atman is set free and they become only spirit. The natural order and the regular cycle of nature dictate the well-being and harmony of the universe.
