Hidden Meanings about Hills like white elephants

Are the stories you're are reading really about what you think they are? Quite a few
stories, long or short that have hidden meanings. For example, most people have heard the story about the frog that would turn into a prince when kissed by a princess. This frog was put under a spell and he would only become human once he received a kiss from a princess. After many years passed, the long awaited princess sat by his side. The princess explained why she was so upset and in response the frog offered to help. He stated that if she were to kiss him he would turn into a prince and they would live happily ever after. She took a chance and after kissing the frog he turned into a very attractive man who captured her heart from the moment he looked intoher eyes. They go off into the woods and they live happily ever after. Is this story about a frog, a woman who needs love or is it about something else? When an adult reads this story they can apply it to anything that is happening in their life at that time. Such as, wanting to find love, going through a rough time in life or in a relationship.

different power struggles between the man and the woman. Throughout the story, however, the
view of who is in charge changes in many ways. The reader is also shown how the woman
resists the gender role of society in that time. ...
