             Japanese Americans suffered their own kind of racial prejudices during World War II, sending them into a separate group from the rest of the minorities. Many of these prejudices were violations of constitution rights and the ten amendments. Under the Roosevelt administration a bill was passed to limit Japanese rights in the US, it was called the Executive Order 9066. This was a movement of Japanese people from the East Coast; over 112,000 of them were relocated. The "Japs" as they were then being labeled as has exactly one week to shut down businesses and move out of their homes. Japanese Americans were placed in replacement camps, in distant places such as Utah and Arkansas. Before this the American government had froze all financial assets of people who were born in the Japan. The government singled out only the Japanese Americans, two thirds of whom were originally American citizens. They were the only group to be racially violated in the US during WW II. The US government claimed this was a military necessity, that all "Japs" must be removed from the west coast areas. They scared the Japanese Americans were disloyal and secretly supporting Japan, being a threat to the US.
             The problem with this was it was a fault on their rights; they were not provided a due process of law, and were not supplying the Japanese with equality. Because they were incarcerated as a group it was a violation them, they were not innocent until prove guilty, they were all guilty because of their background and ancestry. Many other racial prejudices were made towards the Japanese; titles in the headlines were derogatory and a slam in the face. The word "Jap" was used as a way to discriminate against them and used to put them down. Songs, cartoons, and propaganda were used to reinforce the ideas that Japanese Americans were the enemy.
