passion

While reading the book "Beloved," the reader may often get confuse about the actions that the character Beloved partakes in throughout the story. In order to understand the actions of Beloved one must first understand where Beloved is from. Toni Morrison the author of the book doesn't directly state where Beloved is from, because she allows the reader to use their imagination. Throughout the book Toni Morrison gives hints to the reader, so they're able to figure out Beloved's home. (PAGE 75). The place that Beloved is explaining where she's from fits the description of the middle passage. After the reader becomes fully aware of Beloved's homeland they'll begin to understand the comfort that is needed when she arrives at 124 Bluestone. Due to the neglect,

One of these privileges that Beloved hasn't received coming from the Middle Passage is intimacy with a male. Paul D expresses his guilt about the sexual episode by keeping his distance away from Sethe. As a result of Beloved suffering in the Middle Passage, she effects the emotions of Paul D, Denver, and Sethe. Instead of Paul D being accountable for his mistakes he asks Sethe to have his kids, so that he can ease his pain that he feels. Beloved didn't learn of this privilege amongst humans until after she arrived at 124 Bluestone. However the attention and affection for Beloved from the 124 Bluestone residences (Paul D, Denver, Sethe) couldn't be fully balance between themselves and Beloved, because they still had emotional problems within themselves. A reason why Paul D emotions are at risk, because of the guilt he obtains within himself over his sexual episode with Beloved. This reason includes the portrayal of Sethe, the woman whom Paul D learns to love and trust throughout his arrival at 124 Bluestone. By Paul D not being truthful to Sethe he mentally loses his position as the head of the household as well as the opportunity to be a real man.
