A Downright Sin

A mockingbird is a creature of grace and great beauty, with its pleasant nature and harmonic notes, it’s no wonder why the people of Maycomb are entranced with it, However, not all good in nature in To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, is a mockingbird there also includes Mr. Arthur Radley, Mr. Avery and even Mrs.Dubose’s camellia bush. All of the above do not intrude, obtrude and basically keep to themselves, they are good, harmless; Mr. Radley stays in his house most of the time, Mr. Avery keeps to himself and Mrs. Dubose’s camellias do nothing but give off a nice fragrance and pleasant to look at as well. To harm or disturb any of these is simply a downright sin.

On a snow day, the children decide to build a snowman that is remarkably similar in likeness to Mr. Even after all the kids taunting, Arthur wraps a blanket around Scout when she was standing outside of his, as Atticus explains to Scout, “Boo Radley.

Today when we think of a mockingbird, there’s not much significance associated with it, but in the story this mockingbird theme is considerable, especially since the book is based upon it.

Unlikely examples of a metaphorical mockingbird are Mrs. He is an elderly man that rents a room up stairs in Miss. Hasn’t snowed in Maycomb since Appomattox. Conversely, that doesn’t mean he isn’t worthy of respect. In society back then discrepancy was somewhat taboo, and even today it still is.
